At its General Meeting held on June 21, 2011, the French Interprofessional Committee of Laboratory Suppliers (CIFL) elected its new chairman, a member of the Board of Directors : Patrice PASQUIER – General Manager, PROMEGA France.

With its 160 member companies, the CIFL is an Association of manufacturers and distributors of instrumentation, products and services dedicated to both public and private laboratories. Representing the profession for 50 years the CIFL is a key player in the laboratory industry, whose actions are intended to coordinate the sector’s promotional activities, in particular through its flagship event, Forum LABO & BIOTECH.

Patrice PASQUIER takes over from Jean?Pierre LEGOUT who, for five years, worked on the development of partnerships with both public and private organizations and on the protection of member interests, implementing tools such as toolabo.com and the Forum LABO Maghreb centers, intended to improve member visibility and develop their business.

A leitmotiv: bringing closer The new chairman has already defined his first mission within the Board of Directors. Its goal:

bringing closer.

Bringing the CIFL closer to its members: following assembly and recognition the CIFL must ensure that it is meeting the expectations of all company heads through increasing the number of meetings and training courses adapted to changes in the market and to their needs. Bringing the CIFL closer to users: public and private research, control and analysis institutions are the principal partners of CIFL members. Exchanges are going to be strengthened to work together on future challenges: going paperless, innovation, sustainable development, analysis optimization… Bringing the CIFL closer to other French and European associations and learned societies in order to increase collaboration, compare experiences, and share information.

Patrice PASQUIER has been an active member of the Board of Directors of the CIFL for 5 years and

knows he can count on the support of his colleagues to fulfill his goals.
