CLC Bio Launches Largest Software Update to Date and Now Includes Gene Expression Analyses

CLC bio just launched major updates to all their workbenches, resulting in the largest software update in the company’s history. Other than a wide range of new features and improvements within sequence analysis, CLC bio’s two top software products CLC Main Workbench and CLC Genomics Workbench now supports a full workflow in analysis of both digital- and analogue gene expression, such as single-color microarray gene expression.

Dr. Anne-Mette K. Hein, PhD, Senior Scientist at CLC bio states, “With this major update, we have now launched the World’s first comprehensive solution which combines sequence analysis with both digital- and analogue gene expression analyses in a completely integrated work environment. That means we now support all steps in a microarray workflow, ensuring a streamlined pipeline for supporting research like identifying differentially expressed genes and following these through in downstream analysis. We have spent over a year in development with this, and we’re delivering an intuitive approach to Gene Expression analysis with some advanced visualization tools, which hopefully will go down well with future customers.”

Contrary to most Gene Expression software that are stand-alone applications lacking the integration with upstream and downstream sequence analyses, CLC bio’s Expression Array analyses are completely integrated in CLC Main Workbench and CLC Genomics Workbench.
