Continuous flow, microwave-assisted organic synthesis (CF-MAOS) with FlowSyn™
Uniqsis is delighted to announce the ArrheniusOneFlow™, a new microwave-based flow chemistry system which greatly improves efficiency when scaling up compound synthesis during drug development.
The new system, developed and marketed in collaboration with Swedish company WaveCraft AB, integrates Uniqsis’ proven FlowSyn™ liquid handling technology with WaveCraft’s unique ArrheniusOne™ microwave applicator technology and reactors, so effectively and safely combining flow chemistry with microwave heating. The ArrheniusOne™ module delivers typical batch microwave reaction rate accelerations, whilst the FlowSyn™ continuous flow system facilitates scale up, enabling larger quantities of material to be produced on demand both quickly and safely.
Benefits of the system include faster synthetic processes, easier scale up, and a safer solution that uses significantly less energy than conventional approaches.
Available as a complete new system or as an add-on module to an existing FlowSyn system or combined with the new Binary Pump Module from Uniqsis.
Improved efficiency — reactions rates accelerated by a factor of 10 to 1000 by microwave heating Immediate scale-up ? large reactor capacity and 4-channel capability allow for rapid scale-up to multi-kg quantities
Excellent temperature stability — continuous monitoring by integrated IR pyrometer
Continuous dynamic optimisation of MW power and frequency—ensures optimal use of applied MW energy at all
times.
Straightforward, reliable operation using intuitive software.
Reduced environmental impact — combination of CF-MAOS and continuous flow uses less energy and produces less waste
