Cambridge – Cresset, innovative provider of solutions for CADD, DMTA efficiency and contract research , is pleased to announce the appointment of their first Chief Financial Officer, John Leighton.

“As a consequence of recent investment from Scottish Equity Partners, we are delighted to welcome John Leighton to the Board and Executive Management team. John will advise on financial strategy and provide experienced leadership of our finance function,” says Dr Robert Scoffin, Cresset CEO. “Drawing on his previous experience with growth and SAAS businesses, John will help us build on the significant growth we have made over the last years as we continue to scale Cresset”.

John Leighton has over 20 years experience as a Chartered Accountant, with wide experience of international high-growth and scaling tech companies. After training as an accountant he joined Ernst & Young before moving to industry. John has an MPhys from the University of Manchester and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
