Cyntellect Appoints Former GE Healthcare Director Gareth Jones as European Director of Sales and Operations
New Hire Brings over 17 Years of Life Sciences Scientific Sales Experience to Cyntellect
SAN DIEGO–Cyntellect, Inc., a privately-held life sciences company leading the development and commercialization of microplate-based cytometry systems, announced today that it has appointed Gareth Jones as its European Director of Sales and Operations responsible for the sale of company products to life science research customers, including pharmaceutical and biotechnology in Europe, and for setting up Cyntellect’s European operations. Gareth joins Cyntellect from the position of Global Market Development Director for GE Healthcare’s Advanced Systems & Cellular Technologies Divisions, where he was responsible for building enterprise level business opportunities between GE Healthcare and its global pharmaceutical and biotech customers.

Whilst at GE Healthcare, Gareth was also instrumental in the identification and establishment of new businesses and services focused in the cellular reagent space. Prior to that, he was the Global Sales & Support Manager for Applied Biosystems’ Cell Biology & Functional Proteomics Division, where he was responsible for leading the global sales growth and support of new cellular screening technology in the drug discovery and biopharmaceutical markets. Gareth brings with him over 17 years of successful European sales, sales management and commercial development experience in taking new innovative products and solutions into the pharmaceutical drug discovery, biopharmaceutical, and academic markets. He holds an honors degree in molecular microbiology from University College of Wales Swansea.
