Washington, DC and Devon, England – Danaher has agreed to acquire Viridor Instrumentation from Pennon Group plc for approximately $135 million. Viridor’s four businesses, Ele International, GLI International, Hydrolab and Orbisphere, manufacture lab and process instruments for water analysis. Danaher estimates Viridor’s revenues at approximately $75 million. Viridor will join the Water Quality Group of Danaher’s Process and Environmental Controls business. Danaher stated that Viridor will help it enter the beverage and pharmaceutical markets, and increase its ocean water and atmospheric testing sales.
