Distributor Agreement Offers Coverage of Market

Oxford Instruments Magnetic Resonance, the supplier of intelligent NMR, announces an agreement with Folio Instruments Inc. based in Kitchener, Ontario to sell the MQC benchtop NMR analyzer in Canada. The agreement will cover sales and service for the MQC and a range of related products.

Offering a quick local response across Canada, Folio will support the MQC product from offices located in Kitchener, Montreal, and Calgary, Alberta. Folio Instruments, www.folioinstruments.com, has a team of service engineers who install, service, and calibrate laboratory instruments, and will also train operators on the calibration and operation of the MQC. They have been successfully handling the sales and servicing of X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) instruments for the Oxford Instruments Industrial Analysis group since August 2008, providing local customer sales and support, local marketing, and CSA approvals. Their excellent technical service capabilities made them the logical choice for the Oxford Instruments Magnetic Resonance group.

“We are excited to announce this new distributor agreement with Folio Instruments, which has been Canada’s leading supplier of scientific instruments for more than 20 years,” said Jim Vecchio, National Sales Manager. “Folio Instruments is our ideal partner because of their laboratory instrumentation orientation, their association with our Industrial Analysis group, and their wide coverage of the Canadian market.”

The MQC is a cost-effective benchtop analyzer based on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) for fast, easy, solvent-free measurement of oil, fat and moisture. The MQC analyzers are used for determining the oil content of olives, oilseeds, snack foods, animal feed and for measuring SFC in chocolate, margarine and other foods. They are also used to measure spin finish coatings on fibres and for various petrochemical and polymer applications.
