Douglas Scientific Announces New VP of Engineering

Alexandria, MN, – Douglas Scientific, a provider of Array Tape™ for high throughput screening in bioscience laboratories, today announced the appointment of Joe Salo as the company’s new Vice President of Engineering. Salo will be responsible for managing the engineering team that designs and develops the Company’s laboratory automation platform.

Salo has over 20 years of development and management experience. He joins Douglas Scientific from his most recent positions as Product Cell Director and Director of Engineering at Douglas Machine Inc. While there, Salo led engineering teams in the development of highly automated packaging equipment. He managed applications, production, engineering, assembly and after market services, and was responsible for launching several products.

Salo’s academic background includes Civil Engineering at North Dakota State University; Automated Systems Maintenance at Eveleth Community College; and he is completing a Business Administration degree at Southwest Minnesota State University.
