Dr. Michael Routh Retiring from GE

BOULDER, COLO. – Dr. Michael Routh, chief executive of GE Analytical Instruments, a division of GE Water & Process Technologies based in Boulder, Colorado, has announced his retirement, effective September 2011.

Dr. Routh was appointed president of Sievers Instruments, an operating division of Ionics, in 2000. Sievers Instruments was subsequently renamed GE Analytical Instruments following Ionics’ acquisition by GE Water & Process Technologies in 2005.

Prior to his Ionics appointment, Dr. Routh led operating divisions of Bio-Rad and Thermo and held senior leadership positions at Applied Research Laboratories and Varian. Dr. Routh’s successor will be appointed later this summer.
