Esco Appoints XQ Lin as CEO to Lead Next Phase of Development of the Business

As part of its succession planning, Esco is pleased to announce the appointment of XQ Lin, currently Vice President, to succeed Lim Lay Yew as Group CEO with immediate effect.

Lim Lay Yew will continue to serve as SVP Human Capital Management/Intellectual Properties/Organizational Development, Esco Singapore General Manager and Esco Singapore/Bintan Facilities Manager.

XQ has extensive laboratory, cleanroom and pharmaceutical equipment industry experience having worked at Esco for 14 years.

A hands-on leader, he joined Esco in 1997 as a junior executive and rose through the ranks steadily progressing through all major functions of the business.

Since then, XQ has held a variety of engineering, business development and management positions; across the product management, product development, manufacturing, quality assurance, marketing, sales, service, human capital management, and IT functions.

He was instrumental in developing the company’s world-leading biological safety cabinet product line and its network of international distributors and subsidiaries.

More recently, XQ led Esco’s growth in the North American market as President of its North American subsidiary, and spearheaded the development of a new range of CO2 incubators and ultralow temperature freezers, thereby positioning Esco for continued growth.

XQ graduated from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor in Economics majoring in Finance.
