Expo Technologies Makes Strategic Acquisition Of PAT Company SpectrAlliance

Columbia, MD — January 9th 2007 — Expo Technologies announced today that it has acquired SpectrAlliance Inc., St. Louis, MO, for an undisclosed sum. “This is consistent with our mission to become the PAT implementation partner of choice for the pharmaceutical community”, Peter Bennett, General Manager, explained; “We possess expertise in PAT measurement device hardware, applications, plant project management and now measurement and chemometric software for the Pharmaceutical Industry”.

President and founder of SpectrAlliance, Inc., Susan Bragg, Ph. D. further commented on the formalization of the partnership; “Expo Technologies and SpectrAlliance have worked closely together for a number of years. SpectrAlliance provides PAT focused software tools and systems to both Expo and the PAT community. This partnership strengthens our ability to provide the most comprehensive PAT solutions to our customers.”

NovaPAC and NovaMath, SpectrAlliance’s flagship software products, were developed specifically to address the compliance, IT, and real time analytics requirements of the pharmaceutical manufacturing community, including 21CFR11.
