First of its kind to receive ACT environmental impact score

It began with a question: What if we could have more transparency into the environmental impact of our products? Now, the first 30 products from Cytiva’s filtration product line have recently received ACT labels — providing clear, third-party verified information of the impact these products have on the environment.

Cytiva is the first vendor to have syringe filters scored through the ACT labeling process. We are proud to provide this transparency to our customers and are excited to see the response from the industry.

Pursuing transparency on environmental impact

As sustainability becomes a higher industry priority, there is increased interest in product labeling related to environmental impact. The ACT label, provided by My Green Labs, is seen as a trusted and reliable source of user-friendly information for customers wanting to understand that impact.

What’s the significance of the ACT label?

ACT labels provide an environmental impact score obtained through an internal audit of a product’s manufacturing, packaging, shipping, and additional processes. The data is audited by a third party, converted into scores, and posted as labels, which are valid for a two-year period.

  • 30 products have received ACT labeling from Cytiva’s lab filtration range, including Mini-UniPrep™ filters, Whatman GD/X™ filters, and Puradisc™ syringe Filters.
  • Our product labels are valid for EU, UK, and US markets

Increasingly, we’re seeing customers integrate environmental impact evaluations into their buying process requirements. The ACT labels communicate environmental footprint and can be taken into consideration as part of the buying process.

You will find these ACT labels on our website soon.
