Flamm Aerotec sells its property in Laage to biomedical company / Miltenyi Biotec aims to create new jobs at this site

On December 1, 2021, the production site in Laage formerly belonging to Flamm Aerotec GmbH will see a new owner moving in: Miltenyi Biotec B.V. & Co. KG. With this acquisition, this globally operating biomedical company is expanding its capacities in the State of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania and is planning to create new jobs in the medium term. The site measuring 51,000 square meters is ideally situated near the Rostock-Laage Airport and can be easily accessed from Miltenyi Biotec’s production site in Teterow.

“We are pleased that Miltenyi Biotec will succeed us, move onto these premises and to give the site new prospects,” says Stefan Koch, Managing Director of Flamm Aerotec. Flamm Aerotec manufactured parts for the automotive supplier industry in Laage until December 31, 2020.

“Laage is well-situated for us to scale up our production capacities in the medium term and will accommodate new, urgently needed expansion areas for our production location in Teterow,” says Stefan Miltenyi, Miltenyi Biotec founder.

In Teterow, some 500 Miltenyi Biotec employees produce and develop innovative medical technology and novel therapies for cancer treatment. To meet the high global demand for these products, the site is undergoing expansion. Miltenyi Biotec currently has 50 positions to fill in Research and Production. Miltenyi Biotec is not only looking for specialists with expertise in the natural sciences, but also those seeking a career change from other industries.
