FORBLUE™ sunsep™ Membrane Provides Rapid Dry Air Purge of Laboratory Instruments

EXTON, Pa. – Because many laboratory instruments require a dry air purge for optimal operation, AGC Chemicals Americas now offers FORBLUE™ sunsep™ dehumidifying membranes. FORBLUE sunsep nonporous water-selective membranes allow rapid gas drying and dehumidifying without using any external energy. They are ideal for laboratory instruments and analytical equipment such as mercury analyzers, CO2 analyzers, NOx analyzers and PM 2.5 and PM 10 dust particle analyzers.

Nonporous FORBLUE sunsep membranes minimize the transfer of gases other than moisture. This technology is preferable to porous membranes that allow substances smaller than the pores to escape along with the moisture. These membranes are inert to most gases, are chemical- and corrosion-resistant, and do not react with or change the composition of sample streams.

FORBLUE sunsep membranes passively dehumidify gas streams, which means they operate with a minimum of attention and maintenance. They also provide an economical value because the driving force is the humidity differential between gases, eliminating energy costs.

Flexible FORBLUE sunsep membranes are available in a variety of sizes in easy-to-connect modules.
