Formulaction Seeks Mergers & Acquistions
Formulaction SA. (L’Union, France), a developer of lab instruments for the study of the stability and micro-rheology of liquid dispersions, is looking for companies or technologies to accelerate its growth in the field of material characterization.
Formulaction CEO Gerard Meunier stated: “Our strong investment in developing innovative instruments (15% of our turnover) for liquid-dispersion characterization has generated 10% growth per year since 2003. To grow even faster, we now are turning to external growth. We are looking for materials characterization technologies or SMEs to strengthen our position in this field. Today, our cash reserves and credit facility enable us to apply such a strategy.”
About Formulaction SA
Formulaction was established in 1994 and quickly found success thanks to its Turbiscan dispersion stability analyzer. Turbiscan is used in many application fields, such as pharmaceuticals, electronics, food and beverage, cosmetics and petroleum. In 2006 and 2009, Formulaction launched two new instruments in the field of micro-rheology. The company’s noninvasive rheological method enables the characterization of new materials, such as nanostructured gels, emulsions and slurries.
