GE Healthcare Introduces pre-packed HiPrep Sephacryl S-400 HR and HiPrep Sephacryl S-500 HR gel filtration columns For fast, reproducible, and convenient purification of large proteins and other macromolecules GE Healthcare has introduced HiPrep™ Sephacryl™ S-400 HR and HiPrep Sephacryl S-500 HR pre-packed columns, the latest additions to its range of columns for gel filtration. The new columns offer a fast, reproducible, and convenient solution for the purification of large proteins, polysaccharides and macromolecules with extended structure. HiPrep Sephacryl S-400 HR and HiPrep Sephacryl S-500 HR columns are each available in two sizes: 16/60 (column volume 120 ml) for sample volumes up to 5 ml and 26/60 (column volume 320 ml) for sample volumes up to 13 ml. Pre-packed with BioProcess™ validated chromatography media, Sephacryl S-400 High Resolution (HR) and Sephacryl S-500 HR, suitable for use in both laboratory and industrial scale applications, the columns are ideal for use in scale-up experiments and process development. Following the addition of the two new pre-packed columns, the HiPrep Sephacryl HR range now provides for purification of molecules with a large range of relative molecular mass, from as low as 1×103 Da to macromolecules of 2×107 Da. All columns in the range are designed for easy connection to chromatography systems such as ÄKTAdesign™.
