Groundbreaking in India: NETZSCH celebrates start of construction in Goa

With the start of construction of a state-of-the-art production facility in Goa, the NETZSCH Group is opening a new chapter in its international success story. In a rapidly growing economic region, the company is sending a strong signal for internationalization, customer proximity and future-oriented investments.

NETZSCH has been successfully represented in India with all three business divisions for more than a decade. The new building at the Pumps & Systems site will strengthen the regional value chain and create around 100 new jobs. With expanded capacities, optimised processes and an efficient supply chain, NETZSCH is well prepared to meet the increasing demand quickly, flexibly and with accustomed quality.

The festive ceremony in April 2025 marked the official start of the project. Vivek Norman, Managing Director of NETZSCH Technologies India, welcomed the Member of Executive Board Moritz Netzsch, Paul Netzsch and Jens Niessner as well as the CEOs of the business units: Andreas Denker (Pumps & Systems), Ingo Rädisch (Grinding & Dispersing) and Dr. Jürgen Blumm (Analyzing & Testing). The presence of the international management team underlines the common vision: sustainable growth, international cooperation and trust in strong, local partnerships.

A modern production facility with an integrated development center will be built in two phases on a 45,000 square meter site. The aim is to more than double the existing production capacity in India. All three core product lines will be manufactured there – a decisive step towards being able to serve the South Asian market more flexibly and quickly.

In addition to the high quality and safety standards, the site will also focus on sustainability. A 400-kilowatt solar array on the roof of the factory will significantly reduce conventional energy consumption – saving approximately 198 tons of coal and reducing CO₂ emissions by 409 tons per year. This is equivalent to planting 18,000 trees.

An integrated rainwater harvesting system also saves up to 1 million liters of water per year, conserving resources and helping to protect long-term groundwater supplies. The building was constructed using environmentally friendly materials in accordance with the IGBC Gold Standard, an internationally recognized certification for sustainable construction.

The new production facility in Goa expands the NETZSCH Group’s global network, which now includes more than 210 production, service and sales locations worldwide – and continues to grow.
