H.E.L. Group strengthens senior management team with two key appointments

  • Paul Orange Ph.D., formerly of GE Healthcare, recruited as Chief Marketing Officer
  • Paul Sturgeon joins as Chief Financial Officer

Borehamwood, UK: H.E.L. Group, a global manufacturer of innovative laboratory tools for process optimization, safety and scale-up, today announced the strengthening of the Company’s senior management team with Paul Orange, Ph.D. joining as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), and Paul Sturgeon as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The news follows the appointment of CEO Louise Madden, and will further drive the Company’s strategic expansion.

With over 20 years’ experience in R&D and commercial roles at life science organizations, Paul Orange joins H.E.L. Group from GE Healthcare Life Sciences, where he led regional marketing teams around the world and drove a major e-commerce project for the multinational company. Paul has a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Sheffield, and has performed research at Manchester University, Amersham Pharmacia Biotech and NextGen Sciences. He has also worked in sales, marketing and business development roles at PerkinElmer.

Paul Sturgeon started his career as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse, and since then has held CFO positions at organizations ranging from pre-revenue start-ups to established, multinational private equity-backed businesses. At H.E.L. Group, Paul will focus on enhancing operational efficiency, including leading the company-wide implementation of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
