ibidi Product News: µ-Slide VI 0.5 Glass Bottom – Combining the Excellent Optical Properties of Glass with ibidi’s Refined Channel Geometry

Munich, Germany – Lower costs and flawless imaging make the new ibidi µ-Slide VI 0.5 Glass Bottom an interesting option for researchers who are working with glass bottom slides or dishes for immunofluorescence assays, flow experiments, TIRF, or Super-Resolution applications.

This original µ-Slide is ideally suited for applications using 6 channels in parallel. Experiments are cost-effective, because they require only a small number of cells and a low volume of reagents. The cell seeding results in a homogeneous cell distribution over the channel surface, regardless of handling practices. Plus, fewer steps are needed in immunofluorescence with the µ-Slide VI 0.5 Glass Bottom all-in-one chamber, resulting in simplified protocols.

Achieving flawless cell imaging in immunofluorescence or flow assays is also possible thanks to the low thickness variability of the coverslip’s glass (#1.5H = 170 +/- 5 µm). In addition, the slide is ideally suited for TIRF and single molecule applications, or Super-Resolution microscopy (e.g., PALM, STORM, or SIM).
