Northbrook, IL—IDEX, a provider of positive displacement

pumps, dispensing equipment for color formulation and other engineered products,

has announced that it plans to acquire Scivex from KRG Capital Partners.

Scivex recorded $31 million in revenues in 2003. Its businesses include:

Upchurch Scientific, a manufacturer of fluid-transfer components; Sapphire

Engineering, a manufacturer of precision components; and J.L. White Technical

Sales, a manufacturers’ representative specializing in advanced polymers,

electromechanical products and diagnostic industries. Following the acquisition,

Scivex is expected to operate as a stand-alone business in IDEX’s Pump

Products Group. IDEX also acquired Systec, a designer and manufacturer of

vacuum degassing products with annual sales of approximately $9 million.
