Staufen, Germany – In close cooperation with two world-renowned scientists, IKA, leading manufacturer of laboratory and analytical equipment, is introducing the first magnetic stirrer with a lifetime warranty.

The new IKA Plate is enclosed within a hardened glass, providing high chemical resistance and more safety for scientists’ work in laboratories. Phil S. Baran and Jin-Quan Yu, world-renowned professors of chemistry at the Scripps Research Institute in San Diego, CA, USA describe the new magnetic stirrer with its time-saving thermal abilities and modern design as standing within a class of its own. For the purpose of the product launch, both Phil S. Baran and Jin-Quan Yu took the lead roles in an extensive movie production. A 4.8km (3 miles) race track in Germany served as setting for Jin-Quan Yu taking on Phil S. Baran in an exciting car race. The video production “THE RACE” was initiated by IKA and is the first movie featuring two scientists in a leading role; it is launched globally and the trailer alone has attracted more than 300,000 views.
