Infratec NOVA grain analyser approved in USA by GIPSA

The Infratec™ NOVA grain analyser has been approved by the USDA Grain Inspection, Packer & Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) for determination of:

• Protein and wet gluten content in wheat
• Protein and oil content in soybeans
• Protein in barley
• Protein, oil and starch in corn

The approval is based on equivalence tests against the previously approved Infratec 1241. Tests included sample-to-sample agreement with the Infratec 1241, calibration transfer from the Infratec 1241 to the Infratec NOVA and checking that the instrument standardization procedures are compatible with those used for the Infratec 1241.

Grain analyser - Infratec Nova

Infratec NOVA performance backed by official approvals

The Infratec NOVA was introduced to bring a number of usability and performance enhancements to the well-proven Infratec 1241 grain testing platform. The GIPSA approval is just the latest in a number of approvals such as the National Type Evaluation Program (NTEP) approval for analysis of moisture, oil, protein, and test weight content of whole grain samples in commercial grain.

Infratec NOVA has also received approval for testing moisture in grain by the National Metrological Institute in Germany (known as PTB) and the Laboratoire national de métrologie et d’essais (LNE) in France.

The most widely approved grain analyser
Official approvals are required in a range of countries for official measurement of grain quality, for example, for payment to farmers for their grain deliveries.

The Infratec 1241 Grain Analzer is the most widely approved grain analyser available and the Infratec NOVA is scheduled to achieve the same level of approval. Further approvals for the Infratec NOVA are underway in all countries where the Infratec 1241 is currently approved.
