NEWARK, CA and WILTON, CT-InVision Technologies, which was scheduled to be acquired by General Electric this month, met with the US Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission to disclose its internal investigation concerning possible offers of improper payments by distribution in connection with foreign sales activities. The company is conducting the internal investigation in consultation with GE. It said that the investigation may not be completed by October 31, the date when either InVision or GE may terminate their merger agreement. GE said it will not make any additional comments at this time because the investigation is before the Justice Department and the SEC.
