IonOpticks and SCIEX announce future collaboration to deliver complete, high-performance LC-MS proteomics workflows

The Agreement will bring Aurora Series® XS columns and the HeatSync™ ecosystem to SCIEX’s global commercial channels for ZenoTOF 7600, 7600+, and 8600 systems.

San Diego, CA / Melbourne, Australia – IonOpticks, the global leader in advanced nano-LC chromatography for proteomics, and SCIEX, a Danaher company and leader in life science analytical technologies, today share the details of a future reseller and co-marketing agreement that would make IonOpticks’ Aurora Series® XS columns and HeatSync™ temperature-control ecosystem available through SCIEX global commercial organisation and authorised distributor channels.

Announced at the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) Annual Conference in San Diego, the Agreement would give proteomics laboratories a more direct path to complete, performance-aligned LC-MS workflows, reducing the complexity of sourcing, configuring, and optimising chromatography solutions for SCIEX ZenoTOF systems.

By bringing together the SCIEX ZenoTOF systems, including the 7600, 7600+, and newly introduced ZenoTOF 8600, with IonOpticks’ specialised, plug-and-play chromatography products, the companies aim to help researchers get more from their instruments faster. Together, these technologies will support deeper proteome coverage, improved quantitative precision, and more reproducible results, helping laboratories accelerate method adoption, increase confidence in their data, and move more efficiently from instrument capability to meaningful biological insight.

“IonOpticks columns and SCIEX ZenoTOF systems are both built to deliver the highest levels of performance in proteomics, and they are better together,” said Darren Sher, Chief Commercial Officer at IonOpticks. “By bringing these technologies into a single commercial channel, we would give researchers everything they need to run the best possible LC-MS workflows from one place; with the combined expertise of both companies behind them to help push performance even further.”

As proteomics moves towards data-independent acquisition (DIA) at scale, larger sample cohorts, high-throughput multi-site studies, and sample-limited applications, chromatographic performance has become increasingly important. Peak capacity, retention time stability, column-to-column reproducibility, efficient ionisation, and thermal consistency all influence whether instrument sensitivity translates into reliable scientific output.

IonOpticks’ Aurora Series® XS columns are engineered for nano-flow separations with consistent performance and batch-to-batch reproducibility. Paired with the HeatSync™ ecosystem, which supports stable column temperature throughout the chromatographic run, they provide a separation platform suited to long sequences and demanding proteomics applications.

SCIEX ZenoTOF systems enable high-sensitivity, data-rich proteomics workflows by combining efficient ion utilisation with fast, high-quality MS/MS acquisition, supporting confident identification and precise quantification across a range of research applications. The newly launched ZenoTOF 8600 system, with ZT Scan DIA 3.0, extends this capability for high-throughput quantitative proteomics, enabling ultra-narrow scanning Q1 windows as small as 1 Da and fast acquisition speeds >1342 Hz. Realising that potential requires LC performance to match, including stable gradients, reproducible separations, and confident identifications run after run.

Under the proposed Agreement, SCIEX will offer IonOpticks’ Aurora Series® XS columns and HeatSync™ accessories as part of its global product portfolio. For laboratories already working with SCIEX systems, this will provide a more direct path to integrated chromatography and temperature-control solutions through familiar procurement channels.

IonOpticks will provide SCIEX’s commercial teams and its authorised distributors with training across sales, applications, method setup and transfer, HeatSync™ use, technical guidance, and basic troubleshooting. The companies will also collaborate on technical outreach, workflow optimisation, practical method development, application note development and best practices for scalable SCIEX ZenoTOF system, Aurora Series®, and HeatSync™ workflows.

“SCIEX is committed to helping researchers push the boundaries of what is possible in proteomics,” said Jose Castro-Perez, Vice President of Product Management, SCIEX. “By expanding access to IonOpticks’ chromatography through our commercial channels, we see the potential to help customers build more complete, high-performing LC-MS workflows that deliver sensitivity, throughput, and reproducibility, from sample-limited discovery through to large-scale studies with our most sensitive instruments.”

Customers interested in workflow integration with SCIEX ZenoTOF systems are encouraged to contact their local SCIEX or IonOpticks representative.

Both companies will exhibit at the ASMS conference in San Diego from 1 to 4 June 2026. Visit the IonOpticks (booth #623) or the SCIEX (booth #802) booths, or SCIEX’s Hospitality Suite to discuss the partnership, workflow integration, and application-specific use cases.
