Selb – On 1 August 2019, the NETZSCH Group, headquartered in Selb named Diplom-Kaufmann Jens Niessner to the permanent position of Member of the Executive Board for Finance, Controlling and M+A. He took over this function on 1 January 2019 on an interim basis, in addition to his management duties for NETZSCH Pumpen & Systeme GmbH, Waldkraiburg (NPS). He has now been confirmed in this role.

“I’m very pleased that the shareholder families have expressed their confidence in me. In the past few months, I’ve been able to see what lies ahead. Now I can focus completely on my new responsibilities,” said Jens Niessner.

The 45-year-old Niessner has been with NETZSCH since 2007 – since 2012 as Managing Director, NETZSCH Pumpen & Systeme GmbH, Waldkraiburg (NPS). He resigned from this position on 31 July 2019. However, Niessner will continue his current duties at NPS until a successor has been named. The search process has already begun. “We’re sorry to see him go,” said Felix Kleinert, Managing Director of NPS and Head of Business Unit Pumps & Systems. “We will miss him. But we’re also a bit proud that, as an internal candidate, he was able to prevail over a top-level field of competitors and advance his career with NETZSCH.”

With this appointment, the group of companies is now headed by Moritz Netzsch and Jens Niessner. Regarding the new dual leadership, Moritz Netzsch said “I am pleased that Jens Niessner will now lead the NETZSCH Group with me on a permanent basis. As a longtime employee, he is familiar with all of the Group-wide processes and now together we can provide fresh momentum.”
