Jenway launches new, highly accurate micro-volume spectrophotometer

Cole-Parmer Ltd announced today that Jenway, a leading UK manufacturer of analytical laboratory instruments, is launching its new micro-volume spectrophotometer, the 7415 Nano. This announcement follows the showcase of the 7415 Nano at ArabLab 2018, a 4-day event held at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre, and one of the largest international trade fairs for laboratory instrumentation.

Designed to measure micro-volume samples with a high degree of accuracy, the 7415 Nano spectrophotometer is ideal for measuring DNA and RNA concentrations and purity. It enables micro-volume samples as small as 0.5µl to be directly pipetted onto the read head, reducing the need for dilutions and eliminating the requirement for cuvettes. With the additional features of a 7″ high definition colour touchscreen display and an Android operating system, the 7415 is an ideal addition to any life science laboratory.

Succeeding the existing Genova Nano, the 7415 Nano has been designed with even more connectivity in mind. The multiple USB ports can be used for data transfer and printer connectivity and the multi-language options provide inclusivity to English, French, German, Spanish and Italian speakers. Pushing the limits of connectivity with the new 74 range, Jenway also introduces for the first time `CPLive’, the free Cole-Parmer web and mobile app that enables scientists to transfer and store data, protocols and results all in one safe place. One administrator login can grant rights to other users to access the data, wherever they are located.

“Jenway is always striving to meet the needs of our customers, and with the launch of our new 7415 Nano, we are achieving just that. With its easy-to-use design and range of capabilities, we are confident it can meet many of the needs of professionals working in the life science market,” said Renaud Foret, Jenway Product Sales Manager, Cole-Parmer Ltd.
