JNetDirect Acquires Sunergia

JNetDirect Inc. announced today the acquisition of Sunergia Group Inc. and its better known operating unit, Sunergia Medical (www.sunergiamedical.com). Sunergia, a privately owned supplier of software and lab equipment to the biotech market, will now be renamed JNetDirect Biosciences. “There are overwhelming amounts of data acquired, analyzed and stored during research in the biosciences,” stated Ron Wright, President and CEO of JNetDirect. “JNetDirect has achieved success by providing key tools and services for improving the management of data resources for our commercial and governmental customers. We felt the purchase of Sunergia was a great opportunity to expand our customer base among the scientific community where we have had limited exposure.” Founded in 2002, Sunergia has built a customer base that includes hundreds of the major university research labs, national research facilities (NIH, NIA, NIMH and NCI) and leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Initially focused on lab equipment and replacement supplies, Sunergia recently expanded to supply software packages to its customers including such titles as Delta2D(gel image analysis); Protecs (protein analysis) and almaZen (microarray studies data management). Sunergia will be renamed JNetDirect Biosciences (www.jnetdirectbiosciences.com) and will immediately be introducing four of JNetDirect’s software titles to its’ customers. The four JNet products are Combine (Microsoft SQL Server data management); SonaSafe (data backup and recovery); Elixir (business intelligence dashboard and reporting); and Secret Server (password management and security).
