Next Generation Bio-Imaging – New software platform for Bio-Imaging released

German life science specialist Kapelan Bio-Imaging expands its product family with the release of the brand new LabImage Platform.

The new LabImage Platform is a software framework, providing module based functionality to create individual bio-imaging applications. Among these functionalities are state-of-the-art image analysis, data storage, user management, 21 CFR Part 11, license control up to lab automation. All current and future Kapelan applications are based on that platform.

The LabImage Platform is based on JAVA and Eclipse RCP – an open-source project initially started by IBM. The image analysis specialists at Kapelan created this brand new tool within only 18 months time. Supported by the software’s platform character, customers will benefit from shorter development time, lower costs and higher specialization on Windows, Mac and Linux systems.

LabImage 1D, the user-friendly solution for 1D-Gel and western blot analysis, is the first application that is integrated into the platform. More applications will follow soon.
