Carlsbad, CA – LabArchives is continuing with the rapid development of their flagship Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) with the release of a new version containing the ability to create, edit, and view mathematical equations in MathML and TeX format. This latest release is immediately and automatically available to all hosted LabArchives subscribers. The company also has announced another release next week containing the ability to annotate images.

“Two of the most requested features for LabArchives are the ability to enter and view mathematical equations and to annotate images,” said Earl B. Beutler, President and CEO of LabArchives, LLC. “Our development team has rapidly responded to the needs of our customers and has completed work on these key functions.”

According to the company, the new Math Equation Editor utilizes the industry standard TeX and MathML languages, well known by scientists who regularly require this functionality.
