Nanomechanics Inc. Enters Distribution Agreement for United Kingdom and Ireland

Nanomechanics Inc. is strengthening its worldwide presence through a partnership with Wales-based Scanwel. The exclusive agreement covers the distribution of our nanoindentation instruments throughout the U.K. and Ireland.

Scanwel has more than 40 years of experience in the manufacturing and sales of complex vacuum systems and scientific instruments.

“We are very excited to be working with them,” said Sebastian Ward, vice president of sales and marketing at Nanomechanics Inc. “They have a great name in the industry, and we’ve been fortunate to develop longstanding relationships with their customers, enabling them to provide the best solutions-based sales experience possible.”

Through the agreement, Nanomechanics Inc.’ nanoindentation instruments will be available to end-users in academia, government laboratories, and industry in the UK and Ireland. It gives Scanwel’s customers better access to the tools needed to evaluate and understand the mechanical performance of materials on micro- and nanoscales.

“Nanomechanics is an excellent fit to the Scanwel portfolio of leading surface analysis products, which already includes XPS, probe microscopy, nano-infrared spectroscopy and TOF-SIMS,” said Rupert Smith, Scanwel product manager. “We are look forward to working with a young, dynamic company started by experts with years of experience in the field of nanoindentation. Their expertise has translated into a range of nanoindentation products for both SEM and ambient conditions, and their company is at the forefront of the field.”
