CAMAG has had a long experience with UV lamps for TLC ever since developing the first model in the 1960s. After several generations of successful models, we are now launching our new UV Lamp 4, combined with the UV Cabinet 4.

The two main objectives for the new UV Lamp 4 are: keeping the safety of the user as our highest priority and striving for a state-of-the-art new product. As a result,the UV Lamp 4 has been newly equipped with tilt detection to protect the user from any direct UV exposure. Furthermore, the focus on quality, reliability and durability was set from the very beginning of the development process so as to increase your satisfaction.

The CAMAG UV Lamp 4 is our new tool for chromatogram inspection under UV light. Though our previous version served as a reliable workhorse for many years and proved satisfactory to many users on a daily basis, the new version has important improvements in handling, safety and illumination. Analysts can now benefit from a user-friendly and more convenient one-button operation for each UV tube. In order to reduce the user‘s risk of UV radiation exposure, the new CAMAG UV Lamp 4 is equipped with an extra safety feature: in addition to the built-in timer (which automatically switches off the lamp after 10 minutes) a tilt sensor now automatically turns off the lamp in case the lamp is tilted more than 30 degrees. Beyond these optimized handling and improved safety features, the CAMAG UV Lamp 4 now comes with a more homogeneous illumination and higher UV light intensity.

The new CAMAG UV Cabinet 4, a combination of the CAMAG UV Lamp 4 and the Viewing Box 4, is specially designed for UV observation with minimal influence of ambient light. Thanks to a reduced footprint, the new CAMAG UV Cabinet 4 requires only minimum space. The redesigned observation port has a built-in UV filter in the viewing window ensuring effective eye protection. The interior is accessible via the established roller shutter on the front.
