New Filter Function With Thermal Analysis Software

COLUMBUS, Ohio (July 31, 2008) — Software organization has been made easy and convenient with a new category of the STARe software from METTLER TOLEDO. Users can now find a desired measurement curve or evaluation from thousands of data records within a few seconds. The STARe software for DSC, TGA, TMA and DMA has always been based on a relational database and is an excellent solution to quickly and easily manage large amounts of data. Relational Database – a Proven and Successful Concept As the name implies, the data stored in a relational database are related. The relationships between data entries can be used to search (filter) for specific information, for example for a particular method, curve or evaluation. For METTLER TOLEDO customers, this proven and successful concept now offers additional functionality to make data organization, handling and searching even more straightforward and efficient. Enhanced and More Flexible Concept of Data Organization The great advantage is that now, users can not only search for different criteria but also for different categories. Users can specify their own relationships. This means they can assign entries to freely chosen topics (categories) after the entries have been automatically stored in the database. Example filter assignments include: methods, curves and evaluations to one or more self-defined categories. Furthermore, users can assign as many categories to a curve, a method or an evaluation as needed.
