New Mycoplasma pneumoniae Antibodies

Mycoplasma pneumoniae is a bacterial pathogen that causes most atypical pneumonia.

It is also the agent that causes the milder “walking pneumonia”. The bacterium is difficult to culture and thus alternative detection methods are sought.

ViroStat has released a new set of Monoclonal antibodies to M. pneumoniae that include 4 different antigen specificities.

All antibodies function in ELISA, IFA and western blot immunoassay. These new antibody tools offer the potential for rapid antigen detection.
