RENO, Nev.– Hamilton Company announces that Beverly, their new portable dissolved oxygen (DO) meter, is now available for immediate shipment. Developed in collaboration with brewers, Beverly is a flow-through meter utilizing Hamilton’s unique Optical VisiFerm DO sensor that provides accurate and reliable measurements of DO in beer. This sensor has a fast response time, even to parts-per-billion levels and eliminates the need for polarization prior to use. With a small flow cell and minimal flow requirements, Beverly is an economical choice for breweries of all sizes.

Beverly enables brewers to monitor DO during or after filtration and to check bright beer before bottling, thus ensuring purity and superior taste. Beverly also saves time and CO2 by measuring DO in the exhaust gas of vessels during CO2 flushing after vessel cleaning.

Beverly’s menu-guided setup makes it easy to use and its self-diagnostic functionality is able to show sensor quality status and detect any malfunctions. Calibration is password protected and can be performed in the field without removing the sensor. Maintenance is minimal with the Optical VisiFerm DO sensor. Frequent changing of fragile membranes and harsh electrolytes required for electrochemical-based DO sensors are things of the past. The easy-to-install “sensor cap,” which lasts an average of two years, is the only spare part needed.
