Newport Announces TAS – Transient Absorption Spectrometer
Irvine, CA. Newport Corporation, a worldwide leader in lasers and photonics solutions that Make, Manage and Measure Light®, introduces the TAS – Transient Absorption Spectrometer to their line of ultrafast spectroscopy, application solutions. The Transient Absorption Spectrometer is specifically designed for pump-probe, time resolved spectroscopy when used with amplified femtosecond lasers.
Ideal for studying the dynamics of a variety of samples, the laser input to the TAS is split into two parallel beams: a) the fundamental pump for excitation of the sample, and b) broadband supercontinuum for probing the sample as a function of time over many wavelengths. Designed for maximum flexibility, it offers a broad delay range with standard or enhanced time resolution. It includes a fiber coupled multichannel detector and Oriel MS127i imaging spectrograph, which supports a broad spectral range and offers the optimum combination of sensitivity and dynamic range.
The TAS is factory pre-assembled and pre-aligned and can be easily integrated into ultrafast spectroscopy setups. The standard configuration covers UV-VIS spectral range and can be extended further into UV and IR regions. Easy-to-use full featured software is included.
