PathSensors Reaches Japan Through Partnership With Ensensor

BALTIMORE — PathSensors and Ensensor Japan have entered into a partnership to bring novel pathogen detection devices to markets in Japan. Ensensor is a bio-detection company created in joint venture with S.T. Japan, a well-known organization that specializes in selling products such as spectra databases, microscopy accessories, and analytical instruments. The company has become a distributor of PathSensors’ CANARY technology and will give customers in Japan access to pathogen detection systems in applications including biodefense, food safety, and agriculture.

“We were pleased with our showing of PathSensors’ equipment at the JASIS exhibition and are excited to see all that we can do with this unique pathogenic detection device,” commented Ensensor President, Dr. Etsuo Nishio. Dr. Nishio has a long history of leading global life science companies. With the aid of PathSensors Sales and Marketing Manager Jack Fritzinger, Ensensor and S.T. Japan demonstrated PathSensors’ CANARY pathogen detection technology on a BioFlash instrument at the JASIS tradeshow. JASIS is one of the largest Asian exhibitions for analytical and scientific instrument showings and brings over 25,000 domestic and overseas leading manufacturers and buyers together in Japan for a three-day event. It took place between September 5th and 7th, 2018.

“PathSensors is delighted to partner with Ensensor Japan and ST Japan. Our collaboration with Ensensor Japan provides the Japanese market with an outstanding level of customer support in sales, product applications and service across the entire CANARY product line,” said Ted Olsen, PathSensors President and CEO. “After expanding into China and now Japan, I’m hopeful that we can further develop relationships with partners in Asia so that everyone can benefit from the security CANARY detection technology offers.”
