PerkinElmer Introduces RamanMicro 300

PerkinElmer today introduced the RamanMicro™ 300, a Raman microscope system designed to produce high-quality Raman data from either physically small samples or from small areas of large samples. The new RamanMicro 300 is designed for application in: ·Industrial research and troubleshooting ·Detailed analyses of sample homogeneity such as pharmaceutical tablets ·Analysis of multilayer polymers and polymer defects ·Academic research and teaching (chemistry, chemical engineering, forensics) ·Material conservation (painting, wood, stone and metal surfaces, fabrics, etc) ·Forensic analysis of fibers, single crystals and other small particles ·Analysis of explosives For micro-macro and Raman-probe capabilities, the RamanMicro 300 can be linked to the RamanStation™ 400. The RamanStation 400 has a traditional sampling area which is ideal for macro sampling and can be fitted with the RamanMicro 300 or remote fiber-optic probe via its external port. The combination of the high optical performance of the RamanStation 400, generating full-range spectra at high resolution, with the optical efficiency of the RamanMicro 300, results in a system that is ideal for routine analyses, but is equally suited to Raman imaging and even remote sampling or reaction monitoring.
