PerkinElmer Names Achim von Leoprechting as Vice President, Cellular Imaging and Analysis

PerkinElmer, Inc., a global leader focused on the health and safety of people and the environment, today announced the appointment of Achim von Leoprechting, Ph.D., as vice president and general manager, cellular imaging and analysis solutions. In this role, Dr.von Leoprechting will be responsible for driving the cellular imaging business for PerkinElmer.

Dr. von Leoprechting brings broad experience in scientific, operational and sales leadership, a strong customer relationship focus, as well as in-depth knowledge of the market to his new appointment.

Prior to his new appointment, Dr. von Leoprechting was the European sales director within the Company’s Bio-discovery business element, where he led growth in instrument and reagent sales. He has been with the Company in a variety of technology, sales and marketing leadership roles since PerkinElmer acquired his previous employer, Packard BioScience in 2002.

Dr. von Leoprechting received his Ph.D. in Biology from Albert-Ludwigs-University, Freiburg, Germany, and has numerous publications in cell biology, including the areas of cancer research, biochemical and cellular assay development and structural protein research.
