San Jose, Calif. – PhyNexus, Inc., today announced the launch of a new program to fully support the Tecan Freedom EVO 100, 150 and 200 liquid handling robot for high throughput sample preparation and purification using the PhyTip column technology platform. The PhyTip pipette tip column is the perfect partner technology to Tecan automated liquid handling. With this technology, sophisticated and powerful sample processing routines can be implemented with ease and reliability. This program is the direct result of melding the strengths of both companies. PhyNexus’ small-volume, separation technologies were combined with Tecan’s completely automated system to create a walk-away solution for preparation of large numbers of samples. PhyNexus scientists interfaced with Tecan program managers and engineers to develop a robust, reliable and reproducible method suitable for screening, process development and analytical-quality proteins and therapeutic leads.

About PhyTip ProPlus antiboby affinity purification columns

PhyTip ProPlus columns are available in 5 and 20 ?L resin bed sizes (200 ?L column size) and 10, 20, 40, and 80 ?L resin bed sizes (1000 ?L column size). In addition, 200 and 600 ?L gel filtration columns are available for buffer exchange, desalting and size exclusion chromatography. PhyTip columns are capable of purifying sample volumes of 20 ?L up to 25 mL and can elute in volumes as low as 10 ?L. Methods developed result in high concentration while ensuring high activity.
