PicoQuant releases new version of the EasyTau software

The system software now supports remote control options, especially for controlling a liquid handling automation workstation

PicoQuant’s FluoTime 300 is a high performance spectrometer for measuring time-resolved and steady-state fluorescence spectra, which is now capable of controlling external third-party accessoires

PicoQuant has released a new version of the system software EasyTau for the fluorescence lifetime spectrometer FluoTime 300. A major focus of this release lies on the integration of interfaces allowing remote execution of scripts written in the EasyTau scripting language to control third-party accessories such as, e.g., the liquid handling automation workstation Biomek NXP from Beckman-Coulter.

Another highlight of this release is the optimization of several EasyTau Wizards, most notably the quantum yield Wizard which offers now an improved workflow for samples with low quantum yields. Additionally, a new Wizard for the measurement of phosphorescence spectra with picosecond pulsed laser excitation has been included. These fully user customizable scripts make it very easy to carry out sophisticated spectroscopic experiments, even for novice users.

The FluoTime 300 is a fully automated fluorescence lifetime spectrometer with steady-state and phosphorescence option. Its user-friendly software EasyTau allows researchers to focus on their samples without concerning themselves with finding the best instrument settings for their experiments. This makes it an ideal instrument not only for specialists, but also advanced and novice users.
