Princeton Instruments introduces a compact, research-grade spectroscopy system that delivers aberration-free imaging and can be set up for a multitude of different experiments in minutes.
Trenton, New Jersey USA – Princeton Instruments announces the launch of the FERGIETM spectroscopy system. FERGIE is a fully integrated, aberration-free spectrograph with a built-in, low-noise, cooled detector. Featuring a trim 11” x 7” x 8” profile, FERGIE provides the high sensitivity and low noise needed to address a wide range of spectroscopy applications. Its ecosystem of easy-to-use accessories, which includes everything from lasers, fiber optics, and calibration sources to the ingeniously designed family of light-coupling FERGIE CUBES, allows scientists, educators, and engineers to put together complete experiments in a matter of minutes. For example, a typical Raman experiment that used to take hours to set up can now be ready in less than 90 seconds!
Thanks to a proprietary Princeton Instruments optical design, the competitively priced FERGIE offers spectral resolution (0.13 nm/pixel with a 1200 g/mm grating) that fares very well when compared to the resolution afforded by larger spectrographs
