PSSE Introduces “LuBEA® system” at “BIOTECHNICA”

BIOTECHNICA 2009, focusing on R&D in the life science technology, was held from October 5, 2009 to October 7, 2009 in Hanover, Germany. About 11 thousand visitors from more than 40 countries gathered, while 650 companies from 28 countries participated in the event. Those figures were larger than last year’s. As the attendance of many students was observed, there was sort of similar atmosphere to that of Molecular Biology Society of Japan meeting.

It was recognized that “Automation” is an obvious trend in the life science field as reagent manufacturers promoted their reagents along with automated instruments.

PSSE, a PSS subsidiary in Europe, introduced “LuBEA® system,” a fully automated multiplex system for food allergen testing for the first time in Europe.“Magtration® System 12GC Plus,” an automated DNA extractor with UV lamp and bar-code reader equipped, was also shown at the PSS booth.
