Roper Buys Three Companies

Bogart, GA-Roper Industries has acquired three businesses with total sales of $60 million for approximately $63 million. It acquired UK-based Ai Cambridge Ltd, known as Ai Qualitek, which manufactures and sells leak detection equipment and systems for the pharmaceutical, food, medical, packageing and automotive industries. Roper expects the company to post sales of $9 million in its first year under new ownership. Roper also purchased Duncan Technologies, a manufacturer of digital cameras for machine vision, remote sensing and traffic monitoring. Qualitek and Ducan will join Roper’s Analytical Instruments segment. Adding to its Industrial Contol’s segment, Roper purchased Zetec, which sells non-destructive inspection solutions and consumables using eddy current technology, for $26 million in cash and $30 million in assumed debt. In its first year with Roper, Roper forecasts revenues of $50 million for Zetec.
