Manufactured in accordance with European Hygienic Equipment Design Group (EHEDG) guidelines, all standard models are made entirely of high-alloy AISI type 304 stainless steel, which is ideal for food industry applications as well as chemical and pharmaceutical markets where product contact is of concern. A platform option is also available with electropolished AISI type 316Ti stainless steel to ensure a surface finish of less than 0.8ìm for components that come into contact with food.

An open design prevents contamination from inaccessible areas, and detailed cleaning instructions simplify the analysis and control of potential hazards in strict accordance with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) regulations. To ensure simple, complete cleaning and disinfection, even in the presence of large amounts of water, a hermetically sealed load cell is positioned between two sandwich elements, and the cable gland provides ultimate sealing. Combics Food Scales have IP69K protection for high-pressure, high-temperature wash-downs, in addition to IP68 protection, making it dust-tight and suitable for continuous immersion in water. Leveling elements, which are essential for optimum weighing results, are also easy to clean.

The complete Sartorius Combics Food Scale Series has reliable and accurate weighing capacities from 6 kg to 150 kg, and mechanical overload protection keeps the weighing system safe from both horizontal and vertical impact. Resolutions of 30,000d standard make it perfect for higher accuracy applications. Single key functions include gross/net-toggling, 10-fold increase in resolution, and mass unit conversion. In addition, built-in application programs include average weight control of prepackages, counting, weighing in percent, animal weighing and more.
