SciAps long-standing presence in China is now official! SciAps is launching a new sales office in China, continuing the company’s commitment to global expansion and innovation. SciAps distributors have been selling XRF and LIBS technology in the Chinese market for years; however, the new sales office will be a Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise (WOFE), a legal form attached to China’s National Enterprise Law since 2020.

A leading provider of analytical solutions, SciAps aims to advance the technology in recycling, NDT, PMI, mining, and electric vehicle industries. With the increase in global demand for metals, energy systems, and lithium for electric vehicles, SciAps wants to provide China with innovative solutions to meet these demands.

How SciAps global expansion will help meet the goal of the carbon zero net emissions goal by 2050:

·     Many of the people who created SciAps were the same team of people who helped develop the world’s first handheld XRF in the mid-1990s, and then the world’s first XRF gun with an X-ray tube instead of a radioactive source in 2001. That same spirit of innovation is present in next generation of instrumentation.

·     Metals sorting and recycling is now quicker and more precise with SciAps next generation XRF and LIBS analyzers. Metal recycling will play a major role in the 2050 deadline, since the more metal we recycle, the less virgin ore we have to dig up.

·      SciAps Z-901 Li and Z-903 LIBS will help meet the significant increase in lithium demand for batteries in electric vehicles. The Z-903 in conjunction with the Z-9 Liquidator Test Station provides an in-field method for testing brines for lithium that does not require the development of a new mine for hard rock production.

·      SciAps OneBox provides a complete system for alloy and carbon analysis for the oil & gas industry. With global energy demand projected to increase 8% annually, keeping pipes and gas lines functioning at the highest level will continue to be part of the solution for the planet’s energy requirements for decades.
