Scienta Omicron Announces Transition to Exclusive Distributor Model in Japan

Uppsala, Sweden – Scienta Omicron AB and Scienta Omicron GMBH (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Scienta Omicron”) announce an update to their organizational structure and customer support model in Japan.

As part of a strategic review of its regional operations, Scienta Omicron has decided to transition from a direct office presence in Japan to an exclusive distributor model. This change is intended to ensure sustainable, high-quality support for customers in the Japanese market while maintaining close technical and operational collaboration.

Scienta Omicron has signed an agreement with Vacuum Products Co., Ltd. (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Vacuum Products”), to make Vacuum Products its exclusive distributor and service partner in Japan. To ensure continuity for customers, the existing Scienta Omicron Japan team has joined VP, enabling uninterrupted sales, application support, system installation, and after-sales service.

Scienta Omicron and Vacuum Products have agreed on a structured and gradual transfer of responsibilities, ensuring that existing customers experience no disruption in service quality, response times, or technical expertise. Scienta Omicron will continue to support Vacuum Products through training, engineering support, and ongoing collaboration.

Vacuum Products has extensive experience in the sales and technical support of vacuum-related equipment and measurement instruments, as well as advanced analytical systems such as photoelectron spectroscopy systems. Over many years, the company has supported customers in both academia and industry through system installation, application support, and comprehensive after-sales services.

Scienta Omicron remains fully committed to the Japanese market and will continue to serve customers through this new partnership structure.
