March 17, 2009, Sunnyvale, CA — SciGene (Sunnyvale, California, USA) and Inter Medico (Markham, Ontario, Canada) announced today the signing of an agreement whereby Inter Medico has been granted exclusive rights to sell SciGene products throughout Canada.

SciGene’s automated microarray workflow systems will broaden Inter Medico’s line of products for molecular cytogenetics and provide efficient solutions for laboratories transitioning to aCGH based methods. Likewise, Canadian customers for SciGene products will receive the highest level of support through Inter Medico’s sales and service organizations.

The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
