SERS Substrate for Raman Systems Now Available from API Technologies

The product, Solas™, is currently offered as a “Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering” (SERS) substrate designed for use with a variety of existing Raman systems.

Raman spectroscopy is a vibrational spectroscopy technique used to identify molecules. SERS is an advanced Raman technique that enhances the Raman signal of a compound on or near certain metal surfaces. Specific applications for SERS technology includes detecting trace elements in forensic lab testing, environmental contaminants in water, melamine in milk, explosive residues, and road-side drug detection.
