Spectrum Chemical’s Thomas N. Tyner named Chair of the American Chemical Society Committee on Analytical Reagents

Today, Spectrum Mfg. Corp., one the largest provider of ACS/USP chemicals, is proud to announce Tom Tyner, Vice President, Quality Assurance/Quality Control has been appointed as the 2017 Chair of the ACS Committee on Analytical Reagents.

Tom has worked at Spectrum Chemical for nearly 30 years, where his responsibilities have been focused on the company’s corporate Quality Management Systems which include the firm’s analytical laboratories in Gardena, CA and New Brunswick, NJ. Tom’s many years of laboratory bench work and hands on experience managing the cGMP compliant laboratories have provided him the knowledge and skill sets to become a member of the ACS Committee on Analytical Reagents. Tom has been a member of this committee for the past eighteen years and during this period he has held several positions including the chair of the Inorganic Subcommittee and co-chair of the Committee on Analytical Reagents.

The ACS Committee on Analytical Reagents sets the specifications and develops validated methods of analysis for most chemicals used in analytical testing.
