SRA Selected to Modernize and Support CDC Laboratory Information Systems
FAIRFAX, Va.– SRA International, Inc., a leading provider of IT solutions and professional services to government organizations, today announced it has been selected by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office of Infectious Diseases (OID) to provide IT-related support services for its Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The CDC Information Management Services (CIMS) task order is valued at $18 million over three years if all options are exercised.
The OID mission is to lead, promote and facilitate science, programs and policies that reduce the burden of infectious diseases in the United States and around the world. LIMS is a configurable system for tracking clinical specimens, ordering tests, and reviewing and releasing results.

Under the contract, SRA will provide IT-related support for the management and integration of the LIMS platform supporting the CDC’s Infectious Diseases laboratory organization. The project covers all phases of the LIMS software development lifecycle.
